Cananga Odorata (Ylang Ylang) Flower Oil, Cananga Odorata (Ylang Ylang)
Ylang-ylang, also called Kananga, is of the family Magnoliaceae and is native mainly to Indonesia and Southeast Asia. By steam distillation of the flowers, the oil obtained has caring, skin-renewing properties and is antiseptic and can be applied to treat insect bites.
In aromatherapy, ylang-ylang is soothing, stimulating and tonic. It can be used for anxiety and depression and provides feelings of harmony.
