The konjac plant is an evergreen that is native to Asia. It grows in the wild at high altitudes and serves as a natural food source. It is made up of 97% water, is rich in minerals and is very low in calories.
Konjac was discovered more than 1 500 years ago and has since been used in medicine, as a source of food and beauty product. The plant is said to have health-promoting properties. Thanks to its silky softness, it is also used on baby's skin. Therefore, the sponges are ideal for use on all skin types.
The sponges are filtered with water from volcanic rock and are made up of 100% moisture-rich plant fibres. The Konjac Sponge Company is Leaping Bunny and Vegan Society approved.
