Rose geranium (Pelargonium)

The rose geranium comes from the Geranium family and is native to Egypt, Algeria, Angola, Brazil and East Africa. In skincare, it is considered astringent, skin firming and nourishing. It has strong antiseptic, hemostatic, anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties. Therefore, it is a great ingredient for skin care products handling broken veins, blemishes and promoting skin regeneration. It is also effective in treating cellulite and supports the healing of dry eczema, inflamed skin, dandruff and psoriasis and burns. It can also be used to treat the inflammation of the gums and oral mucosa.
In aromatherapy, it is uplifting and balancing, greatly mitigates depression, and is comforting and harmonizing. The Rose Geranium helps with anxiety, fatigue, nervous tension, insomnia and stress.
