Lemongrass

Lemongrass , Cymbopogon Citratus Leaf Oil

The lemongrass from this family of grasses comes mainly from Africa, Asia and South America. It has astringent, detoxifying and purifying properties. It dilates and strengthens blood vessels and stimulates the lymphatic system, has antioxidant and antiseptic properties and fights bacteria, fungi and viruses. Therefore, it is ideal for skin care products that treat acne, promote blood circulation or firm the skin. It is also appropriate for use in mitigating strong perspiration or as an insect repellent. Caution should be exercised when exposing the skin to the sun after the treatment as it may cause light spots on the skin or skin irritation.
In aromatherapy, lemongrass relieves depression, nervous exhaustion and stress-related complaints.
