Nothing special and uses carmine

These lipsticks are cheap so I wanted to give them a try, specially the matte ones. However, they apply unevenly (specially the darker colors) and I wasn't impressed although I didn't hate them. However, they use carmine as a colorant.

I've been using Lavera toiletries (not make up) for many years. Recently I learned about the ingredient carmine (squashed bugs): used to give a red hue in cosmetics. It can also be listed in the ingredients as Ci 75470. Lavera describes itself as cruelty free and 95% vegan. Carmine is not an animal by-product!! I was so surprised and disappointed to find Lavera use Carmine. Come on Lavera, this is 2021,find an alternative.......

Trust the lipstick, not the picture

I really like these lipsticks, they are creamy and moisturizing and have a very good pigmentation. However, I do think the customers can be let down by the fact that the 'swatches' provided by the brand are not very faithful. I'd suggest to look for swatches made by bloggers before ordering one online. Now, the colors I own:
Wild Cherry- Yes, this one is actually a deep cherry red. Slightly lighter than the image provided!
Pink Fuchsia- Avoid if you're looking for a very bright, pinky fuchsia. Go for it if you'd like an elegant magenta, wearable in any season.
Sweet Bramble- Gorgeous plum. My favorite of the four!
Matt and Plum- Probably the most misleading name. I don't find it any less creamy than the others, and it's more a berry than a plum. Still a very pretty lipstick!
